he ATS 4 (Automatic TLC Sampler 4) offers fully automatic high-precision sample application for qualitative and quantitative analyses, screening and high-throughput analyses as well as for preparative separations, increasing productivity and saving on labour costs. It is suited for routine use and high sample throughput in mass analysis.

The ATS 4 meets all the requirements expected for its purpose: precision, robustness and convenient handling.

  • In addition to normal contact techniques, the ATS 4 can be used automatically without contact behind closed doors, facilitating analysis of dangerous substances such as toxic solutions, contaminated samples or radioactive compounds.
  • Supports application onto a range of objects of variable thickness (up to 4 mm) – e.g. conventional TLC and HPTLC layers on glass plates or sheets, foil, preparative layers, and very thin objects such as membranes – up to 20 x 20 cm. without any adjustment to the spray nozzle.
  • Computer-controlled by the winCATS Planar Chromatography Manager which handles all data input, monitoring and storage for subsequent analysis. Operation in standalone mode is also supported with up to 6 stored application methods.
  • Application in the form of spots, bands, or rectangles to meet varying needs
  • Syringes available in 10, 25 or 100 µl sizes with fixed or detachable needles
  • Optional heated spray nozzle to eliminate the zone broadening with large volumes or solvents of low volatility
  • Unique free-mode application
  • Applied for overspotting and batch dosages
  • Equipped with 66*2ml standard sample vials or 96 microtiter plate, held in exchangeable sample rack
  • Self-qualification feature checks for specification compliance at user-determined intervals
